King Cole Finesse Cotton Silk DK- Yarn Review

I recently had the pleasure of trying out some of the gorgeous Finesse Cotton Silk DK range from King Cole. This lightweight cotton blend yarn is great for Spring/Summer garments (I'm thinking ahead as the weather is still quite Wintery here!) and was the perfect choice for the top I wanted to crochet. I've been reviewing the new book by Cassie Ward and thought the Finesse yarn would be great for her Josie top design. I'll be posting my book review on the blog very soon and sharing more photos of the finished top on  Instagram as part of the  My Crochet Wardrobe book tour. Yarn Info: 77% Cotton, 23% silk 50g, 120 metres, 131 yards approx. 4mm hook/needles I really like the shade range. The  pastel shades have a pretty vintage feel and compliment each other really nicely. I chose the colour Wisteria (2822) which is a pretty blush pink shade.  The Finesse yarn has a really premium feel to it. It's soft, smooth and lovely to croche...

Tunisian Crochet Cowl

I’m so excited to share that I was recently asked to join the Brand Ambassador team for King Cole Yarns . Myself and the team will be sharing info on new releases, patterns and inspiration and showcasing some of the lovely yarns available...Starting with the gorgeous new  Stripe DK range Photo courtesy of King Cole ltd I was lucky enough to be sent all 6 colours of the range to try out and was immediately drawn to the Red Stripe option with hints of pale pink, cream and red. Striped DK is a lovely soft acrylic yarn with a beautiful self striping pattern, making it perfect for versatile clothing and accessories. I wanted to show off those stripes with a classic knit stitch cowl. The Tunisian Crochet knit stitch creates a lovely solid fabric but with plenty of stretch and drape.
