Crochet Jar Covers-free pattern

I'm really into upcycling at the moment. Every old plant pot and jar has been used in the garden this Summer and I struggle to throw anything away that could be re-used. Read on to find out how to turn an empty jar into a decorative vase with this quick and easy crochet pattern. You will need a clean glass jar, mine has a circumference of 26cm but you could adapt the pattern to suit another size by simply working more increases after row 3. You will also need a small amount or aran weight yarn. Pictured is King Cole Forest Aran in Avondale Forest. This new yarn is made from 100% recycled materials so was the perfect choice for this project! You will need: Aran weight yarn- I used King Cole Forest Aran in Avondale Forest 5mm hook Glass jar-26cm circumference Abbreviations (using UK terms) Htr- half treble crochet Dc- double crochet Ch- chain Sp- space St(s)- stich(es) Sl st- slip stitch Mc- magic circle Rep- repeat Notes Pattern is worked in
