Halloween Wall Hanging-Free Pattern

Trick or Treat?! I love the texture the herringbone stitch gives, it creates a nice solid fabric, perfect for a wall hanging. This project is a fun introduction to crocheting with beads. Use chain stitch lettering to personalise your wall hanging and finish with fringing. I made these as a fun Halloween decoration but you can also change the colours and letters to make a personalised wall hanging for a children’s bedroom (see photos below). They would work great as a seasonal decoration with a festive theme too! You Will Need: knitcraft everyday dk  1x 50g in black (MC) white (CC1) and orange (CC2) 4mm crochet hook 30cm  dowel 8 plastic beads, the skull beads and  stars are both available at hobbycraft N eedle for sewing and threading beads onto the yarn Tension not critical but my gauge was  20 sts in hbhtr x16 rows = 10cms Abbreviations Pattern written in UK terms MC- main colour,  CC- contrast colour,  Ch- chain,  HBht...

The Brook Crochet Cowl-Free Pattern

I was so happy to be asked to be a guest blogger for the Bella Coco Crochet  blog this month. Thanks so much to Sarah-Jayne for featuring my pattern! The Brook Cowl was inspired by the beautiful Caron x Pantone yarn I received with one of the recent Crochet Society boxes. This luxurious chunky yarn is a merino acrylic blend, making it super soft and lovely to work with. The wave like stitches make this a therapeutic and really satisfying project that you won't want to put down! I used 1x 100g skein in the Morning Blues colourway, but check out the full range of colours available at  lovecrafts.com Find the free pattern on the Bella Coco blog  here Shop the yarn  here I hope you enjoy the pattern, as always you can tag me on Instagram  @HelloMoonCrochet so I can see and share your work Thank you to Lovecrafts.com for providing yarn support, post contains affiliate links
