I recently had the pleasure of trying out some of the gorgeous Finesse Cotton Silk DK range from King Cole. This lightweight cotton blend yarn is great for Spring/Summer garments (I'm thinking ahead as the weather is still quite Wintery here!) and was the perfect choice for the top I wanted to crochet. I've been reviewing the new book by Cassie Ward and thought the Finesse yarn would be great for her Josie top design. I'll be posting my book review on the blog very soon and sharing more photos of the finished top on Instagram as part of the My Crochet Wardrobe book tour.

I really like the shade range. The pastel shades have a pretty vintage feel and compliment each other really nicely. I chose the colour Wisteria (2822) which is a pretty blush pink shade.
The Finesse yarn has a really premium feel to it. It's soft, smooth and lovely to crochet with. The yarn fibres didn't split at all when crocheting, something I usually find an issue with most cotton blends. This made it really easy to work with and gave such a nice finish to the garment I was making. The cotton gives great stitch definition but with the added softness of the silk.
If you're not normally a fan of cotton yarns I'd definitely recommend giving this a try. It's soft, easy to work with and a great choice for lighter garments and accessories for Spring. The Finesse Cotton silk DK is a really nice affordable option if you prefer to use natural fibres and is available in 14 pretty shades. This yarn can be hand washed at 30 degree's.
