The Debbie Bliss Cashmerino Aran is a luxurious soft, yet practical yarn making it perfect for blankets, clothing and accessories, and is available in 32 shades The cashmere and merino wool is blended with acrylic to make it super soft but also machine washable. I used my Honeycomb Diamonds Blanket  pattern to make a small baby blanket measuring 28x32 inches and chose 4 main colours: Stone (27) 2x50g Baby pink (603) 2x50g Grey (9) 2x50g Lilac (84) 2x50g plus White (25) 1x50g for the border In total I used 360g of yarn and used each main colour for 16 rows. You could adjust this to just 1 solid colour throughout or use less rows of several different colours to create a fun striped effect. I added a simple border using 4 rows of double crochet (UK terms) see pattern for alternative border using puff stitches Debbie Bliss Cashmerino Aran is available exclusively from  lovecrafts.com and comes in 32 beautiful shades. Granny Square Purse Tutorial

This is a super quick and fun make using any granny square pattern you like. It’s a great way of using up any yarns scraps you have and would work well using lots of different types of yarn. I used knitcraft cotton blend yarn from hobbycraft with a 4mm hook but you could use any yarn and hook size to suit. Simply make a 7 round granny square using your preferred method or use the pattern below. I wanted to use quite a solid square. You’ll then finished with a row of double crochet and sew. Change colour after each row if you like, just remember to work over your yarn tails as you go to save time weaving in all those ends later. You will need: Cotton blend yarn in 4 colours. I used purple, hot pink, mustard and teal 4mm hook 1 button In UK terms: Rnd1. Make a magic ring and chain 3 (equals 1 treble crochet stitch throughout)  3x treble crochet, chain 2 (4 trebles, chain 2) x3, slip stitch to top of chain 3 to join then fasten off Rnd2-7. Honeycomb Diamonds Blanket

I’m so happy to be able to say my new blanket pattern is now available!!! This design has been such a long time coming. I’d had this idea floating around in my head for months until I finally had enough time to start making it. The idea started off when I was making cushion covers and working out how to join hexagons together to make a square shaped panel. When I played around  with the templates it dawned on me that by spacing the hexagons slightly it would create a diamond pattern in between the hexies. The really fun thing about this design is that you can get creative with it. Use as many or as few colours as you like. I went for a solid mustard colour with cream for the border. My wonderful pattern testers used a variety colours to create a pretty striped effect. The pattern is written to make a blanket measuring 34x40 inches. I’ve also included simple instructions on how to adapt the sizing. Once you understand the pattern you could use it to make so many different projec...
